CIBMTR Page Scholars Program

Welcome 2025 Page Scholar Participants!

We are excited to introduce our second class of the CIBMTR Page Scholar Program! CIBMTR developed the Page Scholars Program in 2023 as the Working Committee Training and Leadership Program (WCTL) with the aim to integrate early career investigators into the workings of CIBMTR and the working committees. CIBMTR changed the program name to remember Kristin Page, one of the founders of the program, in honor of her dedication to teaching and promoting career development, research, and leadership skills— which are hallmarks of the program. We hope to build on the success of the inaugural class as we welcome the 2025 Page Scholars!

We received an overwhelming response to the program, receiving applications from 59 early career investigators. The candidates were all reviewed by Page Scholars Leadership, CIBMTR Scientific Directors, and Nominating Committee, and they were approved by the Advisory Committee. The 9 participants selected all share a high level of dedication, achievement, and enthusiasm for clinical research. We warmly welcome them to the program and are excited to be a part of their career development. We will be highlighting the participants and the Page Scholars Program in upcoming editions of this newsletter.

It’s graduation day!

For many young adults it’s the time of year for graduation – from high school, college, residency, fellowships. And for our Page Scholars, graduation of our inaugural class of this program. Each of the 8 participants have spent the past 2 years diving in to learn about CIBMTR and help lead the working committees. We give an immense THANK YOU to each of the Page Scholars for all their hard work, dedication, and passion for CIBMTR and the research potential that it holds. We truly enjoyed learning with you and can’t wait to see what your careers hold!

	Overseeing protocol development for aplastic anemia studies (NM22-01, 23-01, 24-01). Proposal accepted last year using biorepository samples and working to obtain funding to support this effort (NM24-02).

	New Scientific Director for the GVHD Working Committee as of July 1, 2025.

	Developed multiple studies and study proposals under the guidance of Chronic Leukemia Working Committee leadership.

	Leading protocol development for a working committee study. Accepted for oral presentation at the 2025 Tandem Meetings.

	Overseeing multiple Acute Leukemia Working Committee protocols (LK20-01, LK20-03) with the support the co-chairs. Participated as the junior faculty representative on the 2025 Tandem Meetings Scientific Organizing Committee.

	Helped move 2 working committee papers towards publication, will be first author on one.
Jennifer Saultz, DO Assistant Professor, Oregon Health and Sciences University Immunobiology Working Committee
	Participated as the junior faculty representative on the 2024 Tandem Meetings Scientific Organizing Committee. Helped on multiple studies and brought LE12-03 to completion and publication.
