Fund-raising programs

As a contributor you can direct your gift to one of our fund-raising programs:

CIBMTR General Support Fund

Contributions to this program help to support general operations. These funds significantly enhance our ability to maintain and develop our database in order to insure the scientific integrity of our research program. These funds also allow us to respond in a timely manner to emerging areas of research not supported by our federal funding. Donors may wish to make their gift in honor or in memory of a special person.

CIBMTR Mortimer M. Bortin Endowment

The Mortimer M. Bortin Endowment supports visits to CIBMTR by clinical and basic scientists from participating centers to work on research projects using CIBMTR data. The fund is also used for lectureship and awards programs for outstanding research in bone marrow transplantation. The fund was established to honor Dr. Bortin’s commitment to international scientific collaboration. Dr. Bortin was one of the founders of the IBMTR and served as its Scientific Director from 1972-1994. Donors may wish to make their gift in honor or in memory of a special person.
