 Cord Blood Data Reporting

CIBMTR is pleased to present a four-part webinar to provide more information on the aspects of cord blood transplantation and the data on CIBMTR forms that collect this information.

Target Audience

Data managers, transplant center administrators and clinical research professionals at CIBMTR Centers performing cord blood transplants.

Overall Goal of Training

At the end of this webinar, data managers, transplant center administrators and clinical research professionals will be able to more completely and accurately identify and report cord blood transplant data to contribute to the validity of the CIBMTR Outcomes database.

Objectives


Module 1: Review of CIBMTR Training Resources (15:51 minutes)
Speaker: Jenni Bloomquist, CIBMTR
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the training resources made available by CIBMTR
  • Identify common issues with data reported to CIBMTR
Module 2: Cord Blood Bank Non-Research Uses for Data (23:13 minutes)
Speaker: Sharon Miller, Colorado Cord Blood Bank
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss the rationale behind collecting data for Cord Blood Banks
  • Discuss the uses that Cord Blood Banks have for Outcomes Data.
Module 3: Thawing and Processing of Cord Blood Units (20:21 minutes)
Speaker: Christi Henderson, St Louis Cord Blood Bank
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the basic process of thawing and processing of cord blood units
  • Identify the corresponding data points on the CIBMTR Form 2006
  • Identify common mistakes
Module 4: Collaboration between Data Management and Lab Staff (10:58 minutes)
Speaker: Jennifer Baker, Duke University Medical Center
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss tools and resources for effective communication between these groups
