Funding Opportunities

National Marrow Donor Program Immunobiology Research Grants

The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) is pleased to announce the availability of research grants in support of Immunobiology research studies approved through the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) Immunobiology Working Committee (IBWC). The grants are not intended to provide comprehensive support, but rather to subsidize additional lab tests, collection of samples or costs associated with the usage of research samples from the NMDP Research Sample Repository. Grant requests may be up to $35,000 direct costs only (grants will not support indirect costs) and submitted using the form below. Requests are reviewed by NMDP staff and the chairs of the CIBMTR Immunobiology Working Committee. Awards will be based on funds available, scientific merit and appropriateness given the NMDP research priorities. Studies receiving funding support will be required to make adequate progress and abide by timelines and reporting requests established by the IBWC. Only active studies approved by the CIBMTR Immunobiology Working Committee are eligible for funding.

Applications will be reviewed twice annually.  The application deadlines are:

April 15th and October 15th

All applications meeting the eligibility criteria and received in advance of the submission deadline will be considered during each review period. Award notifications are distributed within several weeks of review.
